A series of photographs inspired by the painting by Sir John Everett Millais, titled Ophelia, which depicts her floating in a river just before she drowns...no longer able to cope with the tragedies in her life. I tried to capture the moment just before her death, and how the light might have been as she looked up at the sky beneath the surface of the water. The objects were chosen to represent her frailty and innocence. Ophelia
